Areas of Los Alcazares Mar Menor Murcia

This page has been set up to describe the different areas of Los Alcazares for people thinking of buying a property here but are unsure of the layout of the town. We have lived in the area for 10 years or so and the descriptions of the differing areas are described as we have found them ourselves. We hope this information is of use to you in your search for a perfect property here on the beautiful shores of the Mar Menor. If you need extra information please do not hesitate to contact us. Los Alcazares is a great place to have a home as it has great weather, is close to the sea and is very safe. The town is mainly Spanish at the south end and has a great mix of Spanish and north Europeans at the north end. The waters of the Mar Menor have made the town a very popular tourist destination indeed. It is a Mecca for all types of water sports and has great views out over the flat calm waters to the famous La Manga Strip on the other side of the lagoon.

Euro Roda

Walking time from the beach 20 minutes

Euro Roda is at the north end of the town. The new Murcia international airport is about a 30 min drive and Alicante airport is an hours drive north. Euro Roda actually falls under the jurisdiction of San Javier but is much closer to the centre of Los Alcazares than San Javier. The properties here are mainly quads and terraced houses and vary in size from 2 bed to 4 bed, most have access to a communal pool. The area is a lovely mix of North Europeans and Spanish and there is a good community spirit. The walk into the nearest supermarkets Consum and Lidl is around 5 minutes and to walk to the Rio Nalon (525 Hotel) tourist area with all its bars and restaurants is around 10 minutes. At the front of Euro Roda ( 2 minute walk) is a commercial centre with Indian and Chinese restaurants, Spanish bar/restaurant, Chinese Todo shop, Bicycle hire shop and a take away Pollo Asado which has a selection of Murcian dishes and cooked chickens to take away everyday.  To see examples of property we have for sale in the area please click here

Los Narejos/Nueva Ribera

Walking time from the beach 30 seconds to 10 minutes

Los Narejos / Nueva Ribera is at the north end of the town.The new Murcia international airport is about a 30 minute drive and Alicante airport is an hours drive north. The properties here are very varied in size and layout,  You can find properties from 1 bed to 5 bed with apartments, villas and townhouses. The area has a mix of North Europeans and Spanish. The walk into the nearest supermarkets Consum, Dia and Lidl is around 5 - 15 minutes depending on which area of Los Narejos you are in and to walk to the Rio Nalon (525 Hotel) tourist area with all its bars and restaurants is around 5 - 15 minutes.  There are bars, restaurants and shops  etc and it is a very popular area to live. The large Saturday market is located here and the beach is only a short walk away . Albatross

Walking time from the beach 10 minutes

Albatros is a development near the tourist area of the town nearer the centre. Murcia airport is only a 30 minute drive away and should cost no more than €40 in a Taxi. Alicante airport is an hours drive north. The properties here are apartments and townhouses and vary in size from 2 bed to 3 bed. Inside the gated areas there are lovely garden areas and communal swimming pools. The complex is mainly north Europeans especially British. The walk into the nearest supermarket Mercadona  around 5 minutes and to walk to the Rio Nalon (525 Hotel) tourist area with all its bars and restaurants about the same. To see examples of property we have for sale in the area please click here

El Divino

Walking time from the beach 10 minutes

El Divino is a development near the tourist area of the town near the centre and just over the road from Albatros.  Murcia international airport is only a 30 minute drive away and should cost no more than €40 in a Taxi. Alicante airport is an hours drive north. The properties here are apartments and townhouses and vary in size from 2 bed to 3 bed.
